DEMENTIA RISK REDUCTION STUDY
The Ageing Research Unit at the Australian National University is seeking volunteers to participate in an online survey. The aim of the project is to examine individuals' knowledge on dementia and the influence of their perception of dementia on their motivation to change health behaviour and lifestyle. Anyone who is interested in the issues surrounding dementia; has not been diagnosed with dementia; is aged 50 or over; able to spare 20-30 minutes of their time; and has internet access can participate.

EFFECTS OF CREATINE ON COGNITIVE FUNCTION
This project is suitable for people in Melbourne, as it requires attending sessions at Swinburne University in Hawthorn.
The Brain and Psychological Sciences Research Centre at Swinburne University of Technology is seeking participants for a trial investigating the effects of creatine on cognitive functioning. The aim of the project is to determine whether creatine supplements can improve cognitive function and might therefore have some role in preventing or treating dementia. People aged 65 and over who are physically healthy, not diagnosed with dementia and not taking medications for blood pressure or cholesterol may be eligible to participate.

ANAESTHESIA COGNITION EVALUATION (ACE) STUDY
This project is suitable for people living within one hour of Melbourne, Bendigo or Albury.
Researchers at the Centre for Anaesthesia and Cognitve Function at St Vincent's Health are investigating changes in memory and thinking that may happen following hip replacement surgery. They are seeking people aged 60 or over, who suffer from hip pain, but are not planning to have surgery, to participate as control subjects. The project involves 4 visits from a researcher over one year to assess memory and thinking.

MEMORY TRAINING IN PEOPLE WITH MEMORY COMPLAINTS
This project is suitable for people in Melbourne, as it requires attending sessions at La Trobe University in Bundoora.
The School of Psychological Science at La Trobe University is seeking volunteers to participate in a study aiming to investigate the usefulness of different strategies for remembering names in people concerned about their memory. People aged 65 or older, living independently, and who do not have any neurological or psychiatric conditions may be eligible to participate.
